I’ve always been interested in history, figuring out where I fit in and my general purpose.
Growing up I spent many summer weeks with my Grandparents who talked often about my ancestors. People that had lived through both World Wars, the Great Depression, and the Civil War. Learning about my people brought history to life.
My Grandmother passed in 1992, my Grandpa in 2000. I inherited a box of his keepsakes: photos and documents. My interest in our family history was rekindled that day.
I couldn’t believe the amount of information that was waiting to be found. Beyond Ancestry.com, I’m talking about living cousins who are usually more than willing to share what they know. It has certainly been a wonderful journey. It is a pleasure to reconnect with so many people and plug them in to the larger picture of who we are as a family unit.
I knew from the time I was a child that I would one day be a genealogist. It’s who I am. I love reaching into the past and helping my clients to discover their ancestors for the very first time. Or helping clients with problems in their family tree.
I am a registered genealogist based in Western Michigan. I have assisted clients with their Michigan research, even those with ancestors that had a short stay in Michigan. I assist with brick walls, the location of living kin, and adoptees looking to discover their birth parents (yes, it is possible).
I would love to hear your family story… or help you build one. Please contact me with any questions you may have. My pricing is reasonable. Read through the testimonials found on this site and you’ll quickly see that I love what I do.
I’m looking forward to meeting your ancestors.
